Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, ¼ to ½ inch wide and 3 inches long
  • 1 Tbsp avocado oil or other high heat oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F, if necessary. Not all air fryers need to preheat (mine does not).
  • Wash the sweet potatoes well with a coarse rag. Cut the potatoes into fries that are ¼ to ½ inch wide and 3 inches long. *We prefer skin on for more flavor, texture, and added nutrients, but if you prefer skinless fries, peel the potatoes before cutting into fries. Transfer potatoes to a large mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle avocado oil over the potatoes and shake/stir to coat the fries. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, parsley, salt and pepper and toss until the fries are well coated. Alternately, you can place the sweet potatoes and oil in a bag. Shake the bag to coat the fries with oil. Then add the seasoning and shake again to coat the fries.
  • Place half of the fries into the air fryer basket. Cook the fries for about 15 minutes. Make sure to remove and shake the basket every 5 minutes to ensure an even cook. Once the fries appear crispy, remove them from the basket. Repeat for the second batch of fries.
  • Salt fries, as desired, and serve. These fries pair perfectly with our juicy chicken burgers or creamy horseradish sauce.
