Smoky air fryer pork chops are juicy, tender, and smoky sweet. They’re insanely easy to throw together and only take 10 minutes to cook in the air fryer. These pork chops are perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- Pork chops – aim for thinner pork chops (about 1-inch thick). You can cut thick pork chops in half or even thirds to get to the desired thickness. We use this trick when we buy thick pork chops from Costco–you get three pork chops out of one!
- Olive oil – rubbing in a little olive oil improves the flavor of these pork chops and helps with a slight caramelization.
- Seasonings – dark brown sugar, smoked paprika, granulated garlic, Italian seasoning, thyme, and salt and pepper make a perfect smoky sweet dry rub.
How to Make Air Fryer Pork Chops
If needed, preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Not all air fryers need to preheat.
Trim the fat off of the pork chops. For thick pork chops, cut the pork chop in half or in thirds, depending on the thickness, to have thin 1-inch thick pork chops. Rub the pork chops on both sides with the olive oil (you may not need to use it all).
Combine the brown sugar, paprika, granulated garlic, Italian seasoning, thyme, and salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the seasonings into both sides of the pork chops.
Add the pork chops to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping the pork chops over at 5 minutes. Remove from the air fryer basket and serve.
