Avocado ranch dressing is a creamy, rich sauce perfect for drizzling, dipping, dunking and dolloping on your favorite salads, sandwiches, burritos, or veggies. We keep this recipe lighter by using Greek yogurt and light mayo, resulting in both a delicious and healthy dressing you can enjoy.
Ingredients
- Greek yogurt – whole milk or light Greek yogurt works. We like to use whole milk yogurt for a richer, creamier flavor, but light yogurt is great for keeping the fat content down.
- Mayo – we prefer to use light mayo to get the delicious mayo flavor without the extra fat. Hellmann’s light mayo is our go-to.
- Avocado – ensure you pick a ripe avocado. Look for avocados with dark brown skin and that are somewhat soft when squeezed. Avoid avocados that are green and hard.
- Fresh cilantro – for extra kick of herbiness.
- Lime juice – for a bright flavor and to prevent the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown.
- Seasoning – a few simple seasonings, like garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, sea salt, and cracked black pepper, give this dressing its ranch-like flavor.
- Water – for thinning the dressing to the desired consistency.
How to Make Avocado Ranch Dressing
Combine all the dressing ingredients in a small food processor or blender. Pulse until smooth. Add more water to thin the sauce if it is not the desired consistency. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
How to Store
Store avocado ranch dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Be sure to stir the contents of your jar before each use.
